Erica Kirk, the widow of recently deceased conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, endorsed U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance for the presidency in 2028 at Turning Point USA’s America Fest.

Noting that God had always watched over her and her family, and that “everything that happens is part of His plan to grow our influence,” Erica Kirk went on to state:

“As I have reflected on Charlie’s untimely passing and sought to understand how the Lord meant for it to enrich us, it has become clear to me that He created this opportunity for me to help elect his best friend, Vice President J.D. Vance, to the presidency.”

“The Lord knows that J.D. has faced challenges in getting people to like him. In fact, it was only because of another loud-mouthed, chauvinistic, hate-mongering assassination-attempt victim that Vance rose to the vice presidency in the last election.”

Vance welcomed the endorsement, vowing that he would not let “Charlie’s sacrifice go to waste,” and remarked that, given how widely disliked he was, “the Lord was likely to call upon a few more sacrificial lambs” before he found himself behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.
