Satan holds a press conference to announce that he is declining U.S. President Donald Trump’s invitation to join the newly created Board of Peace

During a brief press conference on Friday, 23 January 2026, Satan announced that he had declined U.S. President Donald Trump’s invitation to join his newly created Board of Peace, an international organisation for resolving global disputes that critics say is designed to undercut the authority of the United Nations.

“The current membership of the Board—which includes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair, and likely Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been invited but has not yet confirmed— is heavily dominated by leaders from countries with dictatorships or authoritarian governments, such as Argentina, Belarus, Morocco, Pakistan, Hungary, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia.”

“While the Prince of Darkness is comfortable operating in moral grey areas, he remains intent on maintaining an antihero-adjacent image. He is wary of the implications of being associated with unabashedly evil villains. Many of his current and upcoming projects—such as his regular appearances on South Park—cater to a largely liberal audience, and he is eager to deepen his appeal among them. In addition, ongoing funding for many of Satan’s forthcoming ventures depends on their resonance with the key 25–55 demographic, which tends to be significantly liberal and increasingly committed to using its purchasing power to drive sociopolitical change,” a spokesperson for Satan explained, justifying his rejection of the opportunity.
